OCTOBER 15TH , 2015 - Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam’s birth anniversary, October 15th was declared as Vaachan Prerna Diwas or Reading Day in all schools of Maharashtra, by the state’s Education Minister Vinod Tawde. The state asked all students from class III to class VIII to leave their school bags at home on that day, and read non-academic books at school. Schools were asked to introduce students to well-known authors.
SEPTEMBER,2015 - Santhini conducted workshops with the children of St.Gregorious school, Chembur , Mumbai where she reinforced the concepts of dialogue using Mullah Nassiruddin stories and folk tales as examples. The kids did a story writing exercise (based on a picture showing two characters) where they wrote the dialogue either in a story, or poem form.
