​           The Mumbai launch of  Hug Yourself - Body Positivity
           and Empowerment Stories for Teenagers,'  an anthology  
           of body positivity stories, published by Penguin Random
           House, India, was held on October 23rd, 2024 at the lovely
          'Title  Waves,' bookstore in Bandra. There was an excellent
           turnout, and the lively audience participated with enthusiasm
           in the  discussion on body shaming that followed the book 
           launch, and reading of excerpts by authors. The event was
           hosted by psychologist  Varsha Shetty.

​     Trees have always fascinated me - their unique beauty, generosity, strength and quiet resilience are captivating. I have written many stories
     and poems around,and about trees. But this short piece that I wrote for seasonwatch.in is a more personal one - its about a gracious fruit tree
     that has been in the garden of our family home for decades. It has become a part of our family's history...

  I was happy to be invited as one of the guests of honour at "Patrotsav 2023 -The First Mumbai Letter Festival," conducted as part of the National   
  Postal Week from October 9th, 2023, at the General  Post Office, Mumbai. More than a hundred students from classes 5-10 took part in the   
  competition which was held in the GPO building, a  beautiful,  century old heritage structure that is currently  being restored to its
  former grandeur.

The Waterford Institute is a nonprofit research center in the USA that creates personalized, cloud-based instruction through award-winning curriculum, content and assessment for children. In honour of the 25th anniversary of National Poetry Month in April 2021, Waterford celebrated by presenting 50 well-known children’s poems - 25 for elementary-aged children and 25 for middle and high school-aged children on their website www.waterford.org on April 1st, 2021. My poem ‘Clouds’ was one of the twenty-five well known poems chosen for elementary school children.

​​The Anger of Apsu was recommended by the Department of Elementary Education, Early Literacy Programme, NCERT (National Council of Educational  Training and Research,  in their suggestive list of selected Children's Literature, Level 2, ( Grades III- IV) 2014. The Hindi version of this book (also published by Children's Book Trust, New Delhi) 'Aapsoo ko Gussa Aaya', is now on the CBSE Reading Promotion List for classes 1-3, recommended by the Publishers Action Group (PAG-e)
